Dimakatso Discourse – Chapter 13

  • Segment Two Agenda

Enter the Great Spirit Tho. Segment 2

Return From Recess and Hand Over

The Segment 2 Agenda is scheduled to be chaired and led by the great Spirit Nteterwane with a special feature appearance of the female Engineer Dimakatso of the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe. The great Spirits of the Cosmos are in full attendance of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla. The great Spirit Ka is handing over to the great Spirit Nteterwane to successively direct the proceedings of the second segment of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla! The great Spirit Ka addresses the gathering.

Ka: Great Spirits and Deities of the Heavens, I trust that we had a good recess. The pleasure of recess is like an extremely narrow band of pH balance in the biology of the Terrestrial organism. This narrow band of pH should neither be too much nor too little. The pH should stay within the stringent limits of the narrow band. If a pH goes outside its narrow limits then ceasation of life occurs. Thus, a good equilibrium is equal to life itself. Albeit you will be properly welcomed by the great Spirit Nteterwane, on these remarks, welcome back to the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla! Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Ka: Enter the Segment 2 session of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla in accordance with the sacrosanct aim to broaden; to deepen and to extend the horizons of the many perspectives.

It is my selfless and honourable pleasure to introduce to you my successor and fellow great Spirit Nteterwane. The great Spirit Nteterwane has made it his prudent business to specialise in linguistics engineering. He believes that language is the critical juncture between the subjective domain and the objective domain with respect to the phenomenon of reality which necessitates a wholistic treatment. He goes on to say that language together with cultural knowledge is a middle layer that links the chromosomes of the human and the events of the social environment. This is the case because the environment is allowed to modify the sequence of the chromosomes.

The great Spirit Nteterwane conceptualises about the principle of Pedi (duology) with respect to cultural knowledge and language as a desert seed wherein the seed is cultural knowledge and the kernel of the seed is the Mother tongue. Any type of revolutionary struggle for permanent emancipation from the crushing vestigial shackles of the ECC (Euro-Christian Colonialism) and the DAC (divide and conquer) requires both cultural and linguistic skills to succeed.

With these utterances, I pay deserved tribute to the great Spirit Nteterwane who has fashioned a sacrosanct mission to preserve the language of those who have gone before.

Without further ado, I hand over a sacred Lechoba (baton) of the venerated Spirit Animal of the Buffalo to the great Spirit and Linguistics Engineer Nteterwane. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Nteterwane: I gracefully receive this hallowed Lechoba from the great Spirit Ka. This sacred Lechoba of the venerated Spirit Animal of the Buffalo carries the vibrational medicine; the Spirit energy and the good tidings from the erudite Ancients of the distant past. I pledge consistent; unwavering and perpetual loyalty to this Lechoba of Lekgotla. This Lechoba of the mighty buffalos shall forever be cherished by me. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

The second segment of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla has begun. The Segment 2 Agenda is comprised by two items namely (1) a deep dive into the previous Segment 1 Agenda and (2) the testimony of Dimakatso about her human experience in the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe. The great Spirit and Linguistics Engineer Nteterwane is welcoming the spirit delegates into the second segment of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla after a hand over from the great Spirit Ka.

Nteterwane (welcoming the attendees of the gathering):

The great Spirits and Deities of the majestic Cosmos, I extend my warmest welcome to all of you! I also extend a special welcome to our visitor from afar, the great female Engineer Dimakatso of the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe planet.

We are the most grateful ones to have you all in our midst. I am humbled and greatly honoured to be privileged to direct the aweinspiring proceedings of this second segment of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla.

The previous Segment 1 Agenda under a masterful direction of the great Spirit Ka was robust; instructive and very productive in the context of the envisaged future. We are highly inspired to draw from the first segment of the gathering as a template for our second segment. We look forward to the same tempo of effervescence in this subsequent segment of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla which everyone is all agog about.

Albeit, I am chairing this segment of the Lekgotla gathering, the great Spirit Ka will stand by me in the curation of these aweinspiring proceedings. The efficacious power of the feminine principle reigns supreme in the Cosmos and is forever venerated by us. We salute the great Spirit Ka!

This role as a Director of Proceedings is my maiden voyage insomuch as I was thrust into it for the first time since I came into existence from the great primordial waters of Mokedi. Thanks to the great Spirit Ka for thrusting me into the deep end albeit I have my floatation device on. Nevertheless, all the more reason for me not to subject you to a proverbial performance of mediocrity. Therefore, I undertake to learn fast; to adapt accordingly and to treat you to a flawless execution in the footsteps of the great legendary Spirit Ka. If I err, it will be in the context of the Sesotho axiom “Letlaila le tlailela Moreneng”; the one who errs honestly, errs on the side of Royal Highness.

The great Spirit Ka is the model barometer of flawless performance. I will revert to her from time to time when I need to augment performance with respect to direction and governace. She has no choice in the matter but to oblige. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Affirmations of Directors

Nteterwane: Giving you the lay of the land with reference to the conduct of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla, this is what the direction of the gathering looks like.

The great Spirit Ra will continue with his role as Director of Records for the benefit of those coming after us. The great Spirit Athe will continue with his role as Director of Time for temporal resonance.

Starting with me, I affirm my role as the Director of Proceedings for this sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla. I undertake to uphold the moral code of the erudite Ancients who have gone before us and to adhere to a flawless execution of the proceedings of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla under a watchful eye of the great Spirit Ka. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Ra: I affirm my role as a Director of Records for this sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla. Ergo, I undertake to uphold the moral code of the erudite Ancients who have gone before us and to adhere to a flawless execution of the proceedings of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla under the masterful direction and unblemished leadership of the great Spirit Nteterwane. Haba bokwe Badimo! Siyacamagusha! Thokoza Makhosi! High Veneration To The Ancients!

Lekgotla: Haba bokwe Badimo! Siyacamagusha! Thokoza Makhosi! High Veneration To The Ancients!

Athe: I affirm my role as the Director of Time for this sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla. Accordingly, I undertake to uphold the moral code of the erudite Ancients who have gone before us and to adhere to a flawless execution of the proceedings of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla under the masterful direction and unblemished leadership of the great Spirit Nteterwane. Haba bokwe Badimo! Siyacamagusha! Thokoza Makhosi! High Veneration To The Ancients!

Lekgotla: Haba bokwe Badimo! Siyacamagusha! Thokoza Makhosi! High Veneration To The Ancients!

Nteterwane: Thokoza Makhosi! Now that we are duly constituted, we are ready to commence our proceedings. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Adoption of Agenda

Nteterwane: The Segment 2 Agenda is comprised by two items namely (1) Deep Dive and (2) Dimakatso Testimony. The Deep Rive is about unpacking the principles and answering the thought provoking questions that were raised then.

During the deliberations of the Segment 1 Agenda items, it was unanimously agreed to foreground the principles of the agenda and to take a deep dive into the details of the principles in the subsequent Segment 2 Agenda. It is the aim of this Segment 2 Agenda to fulfil that promise. The second item of Segment 2 Agenda is the testimony of the great Engineer Dimakatso about her human experience in the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe. This is an extremely important item to engage with both for the benefit of our Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla and Dimakatso herself and her people of the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe.

With respect to Segment 1 Agenda of our previous gathering, there were five items that were discussed namely (1) Request of Tho; (2) Aim of Kedifala (incarnation); (3) Essence of Kedifala; (4) Process of Kedifala and (5) Implications of Kedifala. In the unpacking of the discourse, we plan to iterate all the items and thus unpack the operational definitions of the principles that ensued.

Before we commence our proceedings, I open the floor for any inputs into the official agenda. Is there anyone who wishes to modify; add or omit from the agenda? Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Ma (raises hand):

Nteterwane: The great Spirit Ma I see you! You have the floor. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Ma: Most grateful to the great Spirit Nteterwane for affording me this honourable opportunity. In accordance with our Segment 1 Agenda, I move to add new item 3 named: Implications. This will allow us to consider and reflect on the implications of the discourse and the decisions thereof. If the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla accepts, then our agenda will have three items namely (1) Deep Dive; (2) Dimakatso Testimony and (3) Implications. Siyabonga kakhulu! (we are the grateful ones).

Nteterwane: Excellent suggestion about the third item of Implications. This is such a powerful item that it should regularly be standard to have this item in all out agendas. What is the reaction of Lekgotla on this proposition?

Lekgotla: We are in resonance! Thokoza Makhosi!

Nteterwane: Any other input to the agenda?

Lekgotla: Tharo it shall be! Thokoza Makhosi!

Commencement of Spiritual Assembly

Nteterwane: Thokoza Makhosi! We are now ready to commence the proceeeings of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla!

Nteterwane: Haba bokwe Badimo! Siyacamagusha! Thokoza Makhosi! High Veneration To The Ancients!

Lekgotla: Haba bokwe Badimo! Siyacamagusha! Thokoza Makhosi! High Veneration To The Ancients!

Nteterwane: The floor is now open for deliberations. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Wood Fire Invocation

Ka (Raises hand):

Nteterwane: The great Spirot Ka, I see you. You have the floor!

Ka: Thank you great Spirit Nteterwane! Me and other great Spirits in this sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla would love to initiate a ritual of welcome for our Terrestrial guest, the great female Engineer Dimakatso. We would like to engender a more welcoming and conducive ambience for her. She has come this far all the way from the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe. It is a way of expressing our appreciation to the presence of the queenly scholar in the area of computing enginerring. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Nteterwane: Siyabonga kakhulu (We are the grateful ones). We endorse the most welcoming ambience for our Terrestrial guest Dimakatso by the Great Spirits of this sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla led by the Great Spirit and Creator Ka. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Ka: We hereby trigger a wood fire invocation and the most comfortable environment for our human guest the great female Engineer Dimakatso! Thokoza Makhosi!

There was an instant fireplace of Paola (brazier) that began to burn with gentle and vivacious reddish flames like a wood fire. Dimakatso oozed endless smiles after seeing and feeling the gentle warmth of this homely fireplace. This fireplace evoked evening fireplace at her desert town home in the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe where the great Griots told stories of long ago. The appearance of fireplace was like magical. Nteterwane reacts to Paola.

Nteterwane: Most pleasant and soothing fireplace. The graduated colours are like medicinal. Thokoza Makhosa!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

The Preamble

Nteterwane: As a preamble to our discourse, I need to make a few remarks about the framework of our discourse at this present juncture!

I first draw your attention to Segment 2 Agenda item #1 Deep Dive. I draw the attention of discussants that this deep dive is not limited to the five Segment 1 Agenda items namely (1) Request of Tho: (2) Aim of Kedifala (incarnation); (3) Essence of Kedifala; (4) Process of Kedifala and (5) Implications of Kedifala.

The scope of deep dive also includes other thought provoking remarks and questions raised but not fully addressed in Segment 1 gathering. It is our stated aim to have these thought provocations fully addressed at this gathering. We are in the right segment of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla to achieve these noble goals.

Albeit dubbed a deep dive, it also includes a broad traversal in accordance with the sacrosanct principle of Pedi (duology) namely (1) traversal of depth and (2) traversal of breadth. It requires a minimum of two lenses to achieve existential completeness hence our invocation of Pedi as envisioned and inspired by the intellectual achievements of the erudite Ancients who have gone before us.

Notwithstanding, it is prudent to note that there is no telling how broad and deep will the deep dive be. For purposes of completeness, we cannot impose limits on the deep dive. This traversal of depth and breadth extends the perspective of the observer with respect to the actuality of the matter at hand.

The same should be said about Dimakatso Testimony. Questions and commentories that engage that agenda item must allow for a free flow of ideas; thoughts; provocations and reflections. This also includes the last agenda item of Implications.

The engagement format must facilitate for a spontaneous flow of the discourse. If we reach a point of saturation, we must rather adjourn for a subsequent segment to take place at some place or same place at some future time. This is an iterative exercise until we have reached a juncture of completeness. Afterwards, however number of iterations, we can then declare the process successful having exhausted and produced new knowledge about these agenda items after a thorough-going discourse. A state of completeness and wholism is our aim.

What are the sentiments of the great Spirits with respect to this proposition? Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Ka (Raises hand):

Nteterwane: The great Spirit Ka I see you! You have the floor. Thokoza Makhosi!

Ka: Thokoza Makhosi! Excellent proposition from the great Spirit Nteterwane! Together with other great Spirits, I endorse the proposition to broaden the scope of the deep dive and to allow for a free dive into the discourse. If we need to continue beyond this segment, we should schedule a subsequent gathering for further discourse into the threads of the pertinent matters. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Nteterwane: Thokoza Makhosi! Thank you great Spirit Ka together with other great Spirits of the Cosmos for this endorsement. We are the grateful ones for this resonance of the great Spirits of the Heavens! Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

Nteterwane: I conclude my preamble with the following remarks! I am reminded by the axiom of the Basotho women of Azania that was shared with me by the great female Engineer Dimakatso of the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe. The axiom says: “Refaha pitsa e belang pele” (We attend to the pot that boils first).

This axiom is profound! It basically says: “Given many pots on fire, how do you cook?”. The answer says we attend to the pot that boils first. The philosophical implication herein is that we must attend to the burning issues as a priority. We must be driven by an instinctive grasp of reality for the survival benefit of Humankind. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

The Desert Seed

Just before we dive into the unpacking of the previous session of the sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla, I would like to expatiate more on the thoughtful remarks made by the great Spirit Ka with respect to the desert seed during a hand over. I would not like these erudite points to vanish into nothingness like a volatile wind without some substance of commentary and cogent reflection as an input from me. I am making these comments and reflections for the survival benefit of the Melanin and other members of Humankind.

The reference by the great Spirit Ka to the desert seed as cultural knowledge and the kernel of the seed as Mother language is very profound! I equally pay deserved tribute to the great Spirit and the great Deity of polymerisation for bringing my work in linguistics engineering into the foreground of the discourse of this sacred Spiritual Assembly of Lekgotla. She is my perpetual pedagogue. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosi!

The ethos of the desert seed resonates strongly with the Basotho axiom: Tsebo ya nnete, ke tsebo ya letswele; the knowledge of truth is the knowledge acquired via breastfeeding. It is the breastfeeding channel that encodes cultural knowledge and language onto the chromosomes of a child. This epistemic and ontic acquisition of indigenous ways of knowing is facilitated by a cultural environment provided for by the clannish society of the erudite Ancestors who have gone before. Without a cultural environment where the language is spoken and the survival knowledge is exchanged, it is not possible to gain access to the intellectual achievements of the erudite Ancestors who have gone before.

To emancipate the beloved Melanin from the clutches and the mirages of the ECC (Euro-Christian Colonialism) and the DAC (divide and conquer) it must begin with the cultural revolution spearheaded by the use and mass adoption of the Mother language of genesis as was the case with the perpetual legend of Mao Tse Tung who led a successful cultural revolution in his homeland of China along with the indefatigable and revolutionary greats like Deng Xiaoping; Zhou Enlai and others in the 1966 Cultural Revolution (also known as The Great Leap Forward) as a succession to the political revolution of 1949. Chairman Mao argued that if Chinese people were inspired by their language; their culture; their Ancestors; their writing systems and their philosophers, China would become the greatest nation on the Terrestrial planet of Lefatshe and today is an uncontested case.

This newfangled paradigm of the unstoppable rise of Mother China is a revolutionary template that should inspire similar kinds of cultural revolution among the nations of the planet that are subject to a litany of violent subjugations by the beligerent and duplicitous Suzerein powers of the ECC and the DAC.

The beloved Melanin can and must take a page from this historical phenomenon of the unstoppable rise of Mother China. The Basotho axiom “Nonyana e hayela ka masiba a engwe”; a bird constructs its nest using the feathers of other birds is germane in this necessitous case of a cultural revolution. The beloved Melanin must urgently take an instructive page from the success of others.

This is where the gravity of indigenous language plays a pivotal role. It is through the language of the erudite Ancients who have gone before us that we are able to be inspired by the intellectual achievements of the Ancients and to trace our genesis to the star systems of Tosamasiu (Sirius). I share a quote (Zulu, 2014) from the book The Sacred Knowledge of the Desert: African Philosophical Transcendence below:

“The Basotho, like other Africans, trace their genesis to the Cosmos. They originate from Mokgubu wa Kganare (The Galactic Core). One of their most valued stars is Tosamasiu (Sirius) which is regarded as a ternary star system. They refer to the orbiting star of Tosamasiu known as Peo Ya Makgakga (The Seed of Makgakga). Makgakga is not visible to the naked eye. Another star Mabeleha (A fertile woman sorghum) is not visible to a naked eye.

As if that is not incredible enough, Basotho also pay tribute to Tosa (Jupiter). Their astronomical axiom says “Hobona tosa le madinyana a yona” meaning “To see Jupiter along with its youngs”. The youngs refer to the moons of Jupiter. These moons are not visible to the naked eye”.

The sacred page of this book goes on to say how could they [Basotho] have known of the invisible orbiting stars of Tosanasiu and the invisible moons of Tosa without the use of technological instruments like telescopes? They did not need telescopes to gain epistemic and ontic access to the knowledge of the Cosmos. Thus, the knowledge of the Cosmos was acquired from their sacrosanct forbears known as Badumedi (the ones who came from the star systems). Modumedi is someone who comes from or whose ancestors came from the star systems. Modumedi is not a convert to the duplicity of the ECC and the DAC as is made to be the case today due to a wrongful translation during a tragic encounter with the dupliicitous missionaries of the ECC and the DAC.

It is through a geneological connection with the star systems via the indellible chromosomes that Modumedi gains an ontic access to the Maxims of the Heavens. For this reason, the culltural knowledge and the Mother tongue are the powerful tools of revolution and permanent emancipation from the chains of colonial conquest and foreign occupation.

This is like the great wars of resistance against the ECC and the DAC that began with the advent of colonial conquest on a Christmast Day in 1497 in the great land of Azania. Even though the brave resisters of the Melanin lost ground to the violent Christian invaders, the loyalist Ancestors did something thoughtful and extremely vital. They deposited and preserved the sacrosanct desert seed underground so that the cultural knowledge [the desert seed] and the mother tongue [the kernel of the seed] could survive for the benefit of the future generations of the beloved Melanin.

The desert seed Mponeng outlived the ECC and the DAC invaders. In fact, a desert seed can survive underground without water and sunshine for years and even centuries. When the desert rain falls to the parched ground, the desert seed explodes quetly undergriund and the desert plant subsequently springs to life knowing that the evanescent rain will soon be gone. The great desert flower Mponeng dances in the rain wearing some green and steeped in the selfless enjoyment of the rain.

Notwithstanding, Mponeng does not become complacent or narcissistic on account of excessive enjoyment of the rain. She knows the narrow band of enjoyment like the narrow band of a pH balance. She enjoys the desert rain within the stringent limits of the narrow band in accordance with the stringent moral code of Badumedi.

She knows that this rain is a desert rain. It will soon vanish into oblivion with a cruel abruptness and never more to return. For this reason, the great desert flower Mponeng in the massive desert of Kgalagadi internalises the rain so that when the rain is gone she can draw from the reserves of the rain that fell as recorded in the books (Zulu, 2014a); (Zulu, 2014b); The Sacred Knowledge of the Desert: African Philosophical Transcendence and A Woman In The Bush in the literary piece Venturesome Kisses.

The desert seed is the cultural knowledge and the kernel of the seed is the mother tongue of the foremothers and the forefathers who have gone before us. Thus, we give massive things to the indefatigable Ancestors who have preserved the indigenous cultural knowledge and the indigenous language.

Not all resisters in the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe were able to preserve the indigenous language and cultural knowledge as evidenced in the Americas and other parts of the Terrestrial Space of Lefatshe. Many descendants of these resisters can only speak the language of the ECC and DAC conquerors like English; French; Portuguese; Dutch and Spanish. However hard, this unfortunate state of affairs can be and must be reversed for the benefit of the future generations but will require a full time emancipation commitment. Thokoza Makhosi!

Lekgotla: Thokoza Makhosin

I am glad that we have shared these revolutionary remarks for the survival benefit of the beloved Melanin and other members of the Human race. We need to decolonise the mind of the Melanin. Mental decolonisation is a prerequisite for a great leap forward. Thokoza Makhosi!
